Winter in Australia
That’s right, it’s winter right now. Winter isn’t so bad though - it gets a bit chilly at night, and it’s a bit windy, but as long as you’re in the sun it’s t-shirt and shorts weather. In other words, it hasn’t stopped us taking advantage of the great outdoors. I’ve been back out on the waves and have managed not to sustain any more injuries.
We spend one day this weekend in the Hunter Valley wine region again. Went up with a workmate Tom, who is about to transfer to Hong Kong. Another really nice day of wine tasting and a good meal that night. Apart from that, it’s been very busy with work during the week and the outdoors on the weekend. Dana and I went to another footy game two weekends ago - it’s quite a good game, tons of offence, a bit rough - I’m getting into it. I’ll be going to the Australia South Africa Rugby test this weekend with work.
The other piece of news would be a reminder to many that Dana and I will be back in Canada from August 25 to roughly September 11. Our schedule while there is crazy with visiting family etc., but we will be going camping for two days (30th to 1st, fellow campers welcome) as well as at Cornfest and Zita’s wedding. We may make special guest apearances in Ottawa and Montreal as well, all in addition to visiting with family. I hope we get to see everyone when we’re back!
